PROGRAM SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
-Must be a U.S. Citizen or national of the U.S.
-Undergraduate degree in food science, engineering, packaging, chemistry, or biology.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Needs Fellows NN Fellows will also be required to complete these additional requirements:
Teaching practicum. Each Fellow will be given the opportunity to develop their leadership skills by being the mediator of student’s learning. Teaching experience will be implemented gradually during year 1 and year 2 of the Master program.
Internship focusing on agricultural and food waste. The agricultural and food industry represents $25 billion in California, and every year, food industry recruiters come at Cal Poly to hire our best students for internship and jobs. Each Fellow will do a mandatory 10- week internship.
Mentoring of domestic and international undergraduate students. Each Fellow will have the opportunities to develop some of his/her skills through mentoring of domestic or international undergraduate students.
